    Jerome Robbins (Director) was one of the most celebrated directors, choreographers, dancers, and producers of his generation. Among his many credits are West Side Story, The King and I, Gypsy and Fiddler on the Roof. In addition to his work as a director for musical theater, Robbins choreographed for both the Joffrey Ballet and the New York City Ballet. Robbins became ballet master of the New York City Ballet in 1972 and worked almost exclusively in classical dance throughout the next decade.
