Elena Berger Melman currently serves as financial advisor to a number of independent film producers, Emmy Award-winners among them. She began her career as an agent at ICM, having worked both on the East and West Coasts. Since her tenure there, she’s held positions in casting (HBO, FOX, Comedy Central, independent films), personal management (representing Academy Award-winners and working film and TV actors) and theatrical representation (Tony Award-winners and working theatre, film and television actors). Elena has proven to be a respected instructor in the field as well. Since 2002, she has taught at The Juilliard School, requested by their Drama Division to develop and teach a curriculum in the “Business of Acting,” Voice-Over, and On-Camera Commercial technique. Additionally, she teaches a Business of the Business course at CAP21 and has offered her workshop at NYU’s StoneStreet Studios, One-On-One Productions, Camp Broadway and SUNY-Purchase.
